And a very special thanks to Best Friends for helping us find Kimmee Bree. She is very special to us.

Kimmie looks to be in the best forever home! All of the lame excuses such as alergies and "too needy"never cease to amaze me.We, as humans have made these animals dependant on us. When we adopt a "needy" animal, we make a commitment for life. Would those people give back one of the kids if the kid made them sneeze or wanted more love than they felt like providing at the time? Bless your hearts Kathy and Ric for taking this most deserving furbaby in to your hearts and home. The world is a better place because of you. Thanks, The Rhodes kitties, Barbara and Randy too.

Well, I'm allergic to cats, too. I wouldn't part with my little monster for anything in this world. Besides, I'm sure breathing is highly overrated, anyway!! Enjoy the love!!

I agree about the "too needy" issue...animals just want to be loved, and if you can't handle it then you don't consider adopting a pet. But I'm so glad to read that this cat found the perfect owner for her...and vice versa.

Too needy? For pity's sake. Some people just should not have angels in their homes. They simply don't deserve them.
Unlike Kathy and Rick who are getting exactly the love and attention they deserve - all while doling out the same to Ms. Kimmee.
God bless you all!

A good link from Best Friends about treating your allergies from cats. Most people have a knee-jerk reaction and get rid of the cat without even trying to solve the problem. Goes with our disposable society unfortunately.

Kathy, you are amazing! Talk about a perfect match! I love this story, and by the way, Kimmee Bree is gorgeous and my kind of kittie. You know how to pick 'em, Kathy and Ric! May you have many happy years of joy giving Kimmee Bree what she always wanted!!

From filth to love 24-7...the third time really is the charm! Kathy although we don't know the nature of your disability, the fact that Kimmee Bree immediately took to you, says a lot to me about this little feline! I'm sure she's a bright light and a comfort to both you and Ric. I know that my little one senses my moods, and sticks close by me when I'm not feeling myself. Although I agree with the posts about the return of her because she was "too needy" [maybe she was just so excited to have a home, and wanted attention?], I can certainly understand the second return because of the child's allergies. That having been said, Kimmee Bree is now in the home of her dreams, and that's all that really matters, isn't it?
I wish you many years of snuggles, purrs, and the knowledge that this cat was destined to be yours.

Kathy and Ric you both rock! Kimmee has obviously hit the forever home jackpot.
It's unfortunate that the family who thought Kimmee was too "needy" couldn't see the bigger picture. Sometimes it's not the cat who is being needy, but more a case of responding to something they sense that we humans need. At times my cat hovers all over me, but when I think back I realize that I was stressed about something and he sensed I needed his support. I'm glad Kimmee is finally with a family who appreciate her "caretaking" qualities.

The cat wasn't too needy, those fools were just too damn picky. Humans never cease to disappoint me. But I'm glad she found two people who know what love means.

Kathy and Ric, it sounds as if Kimmee Bree now has the PURRFECT forever home. She is such a beautiful kitty and she has been through so much adversity. I can not believe people would reject a cat for being "too needy". I am very thankful they were smart enough to return her or else she would have lived her life feeling ignored and unloved. Thank you for giving her the life she deserves. This is a match made in heaven.

I agree with the above. What does too needy mean. I love it when my cats want attention and love. Maybe those people shouldn't have an animal anyway. Glad she found a better home.

Too needy? What the heck does that mean? That you're too lazy to spend time with your animal companion?
