At least for one night, the coolest celebrities in Tinseltown will have four legs.
The 14th annual Lint Roller Party, which benefits homeless pets in Los Angeles will be held November 10 at the old Charlie Chaplin Studios on The Jim Henson Company Lot in Hollywood.
The year’s gala has a “green” theme, meaning the planning and production is guided by environmentally friendly principles because kindness to animals goes hand-in-hand with kindness to the earth and people.
There will be loads of very organic celebrities and their pets joining Los Angeles animal lovers for a buffet dinner, hosted bar, silent auction, celebrity presenters and live entertainment.
In Los Angeles, Best Friends partners with city shelters and local humane organizations to save animals' lives and transform the way our community relates to the most helpless among us…homeless pets.
The Lint Roller Party is the annual gala benefiting those programs, which include Pet Adoption Festivals (the nation’s largest), shelter rescue and rehabilitation of special needs animals, volunteer programs, community outreach and spay/neuter programs.
Co-chairs for the event are Wolfgang and Maria Petersen, and James L. Brooks.
The honorary committee includes such names as Bill Maher, Amy Smart, Charlize Theron, Dan Aykroyd, Elisabeth Shue, Eric and Tania Idle, Jillian Barberie, Joe and Pam Cocker, Kevin Nealon, Laura Dern, Lisa Edelstein, Nicollette Sheridan, Rene Russo and Yeardley Smith.
There is still time to purchase tickets, special packages or tribute journal ads. For details, go to www.lintrollerparty.com.
Please give as generously as possible with the confidence that all proceeds directly benefit homeless pets.
Best Friends works with individuals and organizations across the country and around the world to bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets, a time when our animal companions are not dying simply for the lack of a home.
