If you visit the Best Friends Bunny House, you might as well bring some popcorn and sit on the sidelines to watch the show. Toodles the rabbit has been bonkity-bonking in circles, chasing his new true love, Kendra, around in a ring. He seems to think she just hasn’t realized yet that they were meant to be.
Toodles isn’t the only one who is optimistic. Bunny manager Debby Widolf also believes Kendra will come around to his way of seeing things. Although she continues to move around the circle every time Toodles tries to kiss her (Bunny kisses are so cute!), Debby says if Kendra really disliked him, “she’d just stop running and bite him.”
Hmmm. Perhaps human courtship is overly complicated! That would be a simple way of handling things.
In the meantime, Kendra is leading him on a merry game of chase, and everyone is enjoying the show. Even other rabbits are coming up to the gate, staring at the couple going round and round. Toodles hops over to nuzzle Kendra, Kendra hops away, Toodles tries again, Kendra takes a couple more steps forward. This goes on for hours! Do they ever stop?
Yes, when they do get tired, they seem to call for a temporary truce. They both nod off to sleep for a while, then wake up and start all over again.
Good luck to you, Toodles! If she doesn’t fall for you, it won’t be because you didn’t try!
