Best in Show
Best Ears Silliest Pose
Best New Nutty Breed Sexiest Senior

The Judges have spoken. You have chosen your favorites.

It’s the Best Friends Best in Show contest – and it’s definitely not limited to any particular breed ... or even species.

First, Best Friends members and friends uploaded their favorite photos for “Best in Show” in the four categories that you see here.

Then, everyone had a chance to vote for the winners and the votes are in.

The Best in Show winners are the photos that received the highest number of votes in all four categories combined.

And we have our own special category of Editor’s Choice from here at the sanctuary. Best Friends magazine editor Michael Mountain chose his own faves and added them to your hall of fame.

And many thanks to everyone who sent in photos. They’re all delightful, and we all had such fun looking at them all and reading their stories. And of course they’re all winners in all of our hearts.

If you didn’t get a chance to read the stories accompanying the photos, you can still check them out by clicking on one of the four categories – Best Ears, Sexiest Senior, Best New Nutty Breed, Silliest Pose – and then on a photo. We have some great prizes for the winners donated by Darla Weiss, president of Photacular, which turns photographs into custom gifts and keepsakes. Thanks, Darla!

If you haven’t registered and would like to be on the e-mail list to receive weekly news about the animals (and other fun stuff like photo contests) from Best Friends, please sign up here.

Meet the 2007 Sanctuary Winners

These little sweethearts were all winners at our Best in Show here at the sanctuary, as seen in the November 2007 Best Friends Magazine. Some are still in special care; others ready to be adopted. But they all need sponsors to help provide for their care at the sanctuary. Just click on any of their photos to read more and become their special friend.

And thank you for caring about them!
